Today it is time for the pancake cruise along the Maas!

Here is a recipe for Dutch pancakes. They're traditionally eaten with sweet toppings like jam, stroop (Dutch syrup), and powdered sugar OR savory toppings like bacon and cheese. They're thinner than American pancakes and are closer to the French crepe.

After the cruise maybe it's time to learn about the unique dialect spoken in this southern part of the country. It's totally different from the standard Dutch spoken in the North, but most people here speak and understand both.

With tummies full of pancakes and head full of new phrases it's time for bed!
