Today the tri-border region area is your oyster? Shall we go for a schnitzel in Germany? A Belgian waffle in Liege? Or stay in Maastricht and see more of the city? Luckily, virtually, you can do all three! With much more to see and do when you come in real life. Maastricht Bonnefanten Art Museum: https://www.bonnefanten.nl/nl/kunst-kunstenaars/ontdek-de-collectie Liege Sites: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jn8u4f5MfQI German Schnitzel Recipe: https://www.curiouscuisiniere.com/chicken-schnitzel/ It's the last night in Maastricht, but exciting things are coming tomorrow as we travel to Delft!
H&M travel company welcomes you to your virtual trip through the Netherlands! Over the next 8 days you have the chance to learn about Dutch culture, history, and food in our online travel experience. You are free to explore the posts on your time, no pressure to do the activities on the days they were planned for. Most of all, we hope that you enjoy this taste of the Netherlands and it gets you even more excited for when you can actually come over!
After a day in the sunny gardens, it's time to spend a quieter day in Michael's town (he'll be your tour guide for this post!) The Westcountry (Westland) is right under Delft and home to many greenhouses. If you peak inside them you will see a variety of growing tomatoes, blooming chrysanthemums or even pointy red roses. Luckily you can even go inside a greenhouse because my uncles own one (and I made a promotional video for them): Many gardeners currently suffer under the corona crisis. Two advantages of that are that you can now buy flowers for a very cheap price at every corner, and you can enjoy this wonderful video that urges people to #buyflowersnottoiletpaper (not made by me): After a long day of sightseeing, it is time to meet my family and get ready for diner. Special guests deserve a special meal: gourmetten!
